Bucks Mills village is on the North Devon way and there are over forty miles of magnificent coastal and cliff top paths to be trodden. Favourites of ours include:
- turn left out of cottage and west to Clovelly (2 hours along the cliff )and descend into village - avoiding payment! - to refresh at quayside Red Lion.
- turn right east along the cliffs to Peppercombe, picnic there, and return along rocky breach (mid to low tide only). 2-3 hours round trip, minus picnic time.
- back up through the village, turn left before the car park and up along the old "coffin road" to the thatched Hoops pub. Back along the cliff tops with magnificent views of Lundy and Clovelly. 2 hours walking round trip.
There are walkers' routes and leaflets and an OS map in the cottage for reference.
