North Devon is a rugged coast with shelter principally in the lagoon formed by the Torridge and Taw estuaries.
Here it is possible to hire dinghies and get lessons. The Tamar lakes (twenty minutes by car into Cornwall) offers lessons and dinghies for hire in two inland waterways.
