The beach is approached immediately outside The Old Mill by turning left and down a very steep path. The beach is rocky and looks out to Lundy Island (visible most days). At mid to low tide a sandy "Gut" is exposed for bucket and spade type activity.
Depending on the weather it is used for sun bathing, swimming, barbequing, shrimping and crabbing. Fish caught off the shore include codling, smoothhound, huss and dogfish and in the summer bass, mackerel and garfish.
