Westward Ho! immediately to the east of Bucks Mills (10-15 minutes) has magnificent miles of rolling Atlantic waves.

The Gore - a rocky subterranean pathway off Bucks Mills beach itself attracts (intrepid!) surfers in the right weather conditions.
