The Old Mill
Booking Terms & Conditions
Bookings are made and accepted only on the following conditions:
1. No bookings are valid without the non refundable deposit of £200 and unless confirmed by us.
2. This agreement is made on the basis that the property is to be occupied by the Guest for a holiday as mentioned in the Housing Act 1988, Schedule 1, Paragraph 9 and the Guest acknowledges that the stay granted by this agreement is not an assured stay and that no statutory periodic stay will arise when it ends.
3. We accept no responsibility for the personal injury to guests, or loss of or damage to their property, or for other matters over which we have no control.
4. Once a booking is confirmed by us, the guest is responsible for the balance of the cost of the holiday. This shall be paid 49 days (i.e. 7 weeks) prior to arrival.
5. We reserve the right to re-let any holiday where the balance outstanding is more than 14 days in arrears. However if we are unable to re-let the holiday you will remain liable for the outstanding balance.
6. In the event of the accommodation becoming unavailable for reasons outside our control (e.g. through fire or flooding), we will refund all monies paid. In the event of cancellations, we will endeavour to re-let The Old Mill, and if successful the balance of the cost will not be due as in paragraph 4 above, or if already paid will be refunded. The deposit will not be refunded.
8. The holidaymaker will keep The Old Mill and all the furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in or on the property in the same state of repair as at the commencement of the holiday. The holiday cost excludes cleaning and laundry. For an extra £90 the beds can be made up as required prior to your arrival and the house will be cleaned on your exit. In any event we request that the Old Mill be left in a clean and reasonable state. The holidaymaker must report and pay us the cost of any damage or breakages made during their holiday occupancy.
9. The holidaymakers’ rights to occupy the property may be forfeited without compensation if: (a) more people than specified on the booking and/or the number the property holds, attempt to take up occupation (no pets). (b) Overnight guests are entertained without our permission. (c) Any activity is undertaken which may cause unreasonable damage, noise or disturbance.
10. In the event of there being cause for complaint regarding The Old Mill, the matter should be taken up with us or our Housekeeper at once. It is important that this is done while you are still in the property so that an on the spot investigation can be made if necessary and remedial action taken if required. In no circumstances will compensation be made for complaints raised after the stay has ended when the Guest has denied us/our Housekeeper the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put matters right during the stay.
11. The property owner or their representative shall be allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy.
12. The Old Mill is a no pets and no smoking cottage (there is an outside covered kennel and patio and garden). Guests are expected to respect these rules and may forfeit their occupancy rights for infringement.
13. Entry to the property is from 3pm on the day of arrival and by 10. 00 am on the day of departure.
